Loved the sync app as well, and can't wait to try alout Lemmy sync when he releases it in about 6 weeks.

Omg I missed this - he's doing a lemmy sync??? I KNEW I should have paid more attention to the dev threads haha

Yep I've removed sync and put the lemmy app in the same place hehe

Just be active here and things will end up feeling the same. Sync for Lemmy will also be a thing in a few weeks if you liked Sync. I'm using Connect for now and it's an okay substitute.

In the same boat. Never thought I would ever feel any kind of emotion towards an app haha. Uninstalled Apollo earlier and it was a sad moment.

My preferred app (relay) is still working.

For the time being, Relay is going to be free for everyone to use (this means no fees and no ads) while i continue optimising API calls and finalising subscription prices

Too early to tell. Have only been on Lemmy for 24 hours, but at the moment strongly leaning towards leaving Reddit for good

Price points haven't been released but there's a part of my brain that is strongly opposed to paying for it. I think the dev should probably have just shut down like everyone else

All the money you give to them will go straight to reddit and prove them correct.

New communities can thrive

I've been on Reddit for years and never ever thought to look for a Brisbane subreddit. Only been on here a few days and came across this post.

Migrating across has really broken me out of the usual ones and had me looking for new communities to follow.

Pretty sure even with some of the services purchasing the API access, they are restricting NSFW content on them. While not explaining how specific they are restricting such content (like joke NSFW to actual porn). At the moment RedReader is working as it is exempt from the whole mess but who knows when they are going to kill that.

Used BaconReader and Apollo for my phone and iPad, can't remember the last time I actively used Reddit with a normal browser.

The muscle memory is going to be hard to break but I now have a PWA shortcut for Kbin in place of BaconReader on my phone.
