Yep, can't believe it I thought they said they weren't going to make it but here we are. I really hope it does well as none of the Android apps have quite done it exactly how I liked Boost so will be great to have the same UI I've used for years

Huh. I was worried it could have been a knock off, but it's definitely the same author. That's great, cause Boost was my poison of choice.

2 weeks ago we had Jerboa, now I can't count em anymore. Enourmous growth and development on Lemmy. However, I recommend wefwef.app for thy lazy types

Edit: not to be disrespectful, I also donated to Zach for Liftoff. Development goes on like crazy here.

My only issue has been constant "failed to load post" messages. Really sucks the fun out of it.

Yeah, I just read the post about the rate limiting. I'm still getting used to all of this so didn't think to check for a community specifically for it.

Just did but it appears PWA doesn't work out of the box when doing so. Looking into fixing that now.

I agree, I tried them all on Android and kept going back to Jerboa... until I found wefwef. What an amazing app!

3

I agree. It's currently impossible to find directly through the app store. I found it through a post on lemmy.world and am glad I found it. Jerboa is kinda buggy and hard to use right now.

I downloaded from GitHub after it didn't show up when I typed "Liftoff lemmy" in the play store.

I'm not sure what has changed, but it's now popping up as the 3rd result on the play store when I repeat the search.

3

Does the Play Store not support tags or keywords for search?! I would hope the author could just tag the app "lemmy" and it would show up if searching for "lemmy". Shouldn't have to put everything in the name of the app. FFS, Google... maybe worse than Reddit's search. (And if abuse of tags is a problem, punish the people abusing it.)

Someone mentioned earlier this week: "liftoff fediverse -reddit" as your search. Dumb/inconvenient but works.

Jerboa wasn't stable for me once. Liftoff seems solid. What's good about wefwef?

1

I am seeing a couple apps for lemme but nothing for kbin yet. Does anyone know if one is in the works?

3

The kbin API is still not ready so apps can't be done for it yet, but since demand has grown so much it is in the works

4

But the point would be for people who are looking for a Lemmy app and are just searching "Lemmy" and checking out whatever shows up there.

You reached the end

Shouldn't you rename your app " LIFTOFF FOR LEMMY" for better results? [SOLVED] | Spyke
