Isaac Asimov back in the 80ties: "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."
That "cult of ignorance" is now simply called "conservatism".
Shit states gonna shit state
California has to need more textbooks than Texas. We end up setting industry standards.
They are creating more and more atheists every day.
Unfortunately, no. They're doing this so they can indoctrinate more whackjobs.
That is somewhat true, however, they are doing both while slowly reducing their numbers. The pew research suggests that and multiple interviews with church leaders also does. Many in the younger generation are not stupid. They see this shit and their hypocrisy. This is why they are trying to remove it from the books, but these days, with the internet and AI, it will likely be a failure on their part.
I reject Texas over chronic Texan dumbassery.
