Migrating to Lemmy Weddings

One of the things I'll miss from Reddit is reading through all the discussion on the wedding subs, so I created this community here.
The next thing on my and my fiancé's to-do list is cake tasting, and I'm mega excited to try some flavors and pick one out!
I missed the wedding subs, was a great fan. Glad to see this community here (although my wedding was 10 years ago).

Thank you so much! I'm really excited to try the almond, wedding white, and yellow cake! My fiancé on the other hand is a chocolate person so we'll probably need two layers for our little cutting cake haha.
Are you also planning a wedding?
Oh I feel the struggle with the chocolate people haha. Update me on which flavor(s) you choose ;) I'm rooting for your almond! I associate that flavor so much with weddings and it's so unique - you can have chocolate cake any time you want, but it's hard to get an almond cake any time but a special occasion.
Also no, I'm not planning a wedding... yet. But a girl can dream, can't she?

Weddings take a lot of planning, no harm in getting started early ;)
We got our cake tasting box today! We're going with amaretto (close enough to almond haha) with raspberry filling. It was delicious.
