Teramaze - Flight of the Wounded (AUS-VC, 2022)
Super catchy prog metal! This track in particular really grew on me (including the cleans)
Edit: ffo Poets of the Fall, for those Alan Wake fans out there

This is the kind of oddball stuff I come here for, thanks for sharing!
😆 My friends and I were hugely into Elvenking back in the day, so it's funny for me to think of them as 'oddball.' But yeah...definitely niche.
Nuclear Power Trio - Critical Bass Theory - A joke band that actually makes great music
Jason Richardson - Sparrow - Saw him on the Babyklok tour, was pretty cool. IMO he really needs a band to tour with though. I've seen other concerts as well with just live guitar and everything else recorded and it's not really the same
Some sax dude - Random YouTube recommendation
For how much of a meme their style is, I can’t get over how technically impressive NPT are. Don’t they have a member of JFAC in the band?
And Jason Richardson I’ve heard plenty (studio), reliably excellent. Sounds like you have a point live though, must be part of the challenge for solo artists.
And yeah the sax feature is amazing - have you ever seen the version paired with sheet music somebody transcribed? The way they document his antics is hilarious
Yeah, Nick Schendzielos is the bassist for both of them. Honestly surprised he's got the time since he's also in some other bands too like Cephalic Carnage.
I've seen that now lol. Link for anyone else: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp5PwrOshgE
Wow that’s a huge band to be an “and also” lol
