Why is it a stereotype that English teachers are the worst?
I am a high school student and I constantly hear my parents and other adults talking about how English teachers are the worst. I don't understand though, because English teachers are generally the best. I have never had an English teacher who wasn't friendly and understanding. They also actually teach kids to analyze instead of regurgitate information.

Maybe conservatives hate English teachers because of curriculum that contradicts their christian nationalist dogma?
For me I've either had really good or really bad English teachers, none were really in the middle.
At the college level all the worst teachers I’ve had were for calculus.
