Linden: Canucks may have passed on Pettersson if Benning had his way
Benning was always praised for his drafting, and wanting Pettersson as his guy, but according to Linden, he would've picked someone else. Think Benning would've preferred Glass? Vilardi? Those were the names heard around then by most. No way we would've been happy with anyone taken after Pettersson.

There are so many good reaction clips of fans freaking out after we took Pettersson over Glass.
Made for some good watching when Pettersson started tearing it up. Or that one post from Reddit of that dude saying Pettersson didn't have the xfactor, and he was personal friends with scouts etc etc.

I wonder if he made a new account and saw himself getting made fun of occasionally.
As good as he is, I feel like he was one of the main reasons we didn't do a rebuild. This tear is unexpected and I'm happy to be proven wrong, but all the evidence said otherwise a couple of seasons ago.
