The cool thing about thrawn is how his stories blur the normal black and white lines of Star Wars without involving the force.
I think you only can blur the lines in the Galaxy without involving the Force.

2017's Thrawn was my first... Well, Thrawn book and it kinda ruined his first trilogy for me. Political and military SW works without too much of force users are something special.
Hard not to root for the smartest man in the galaxy.
