It's really one of the best instances of the horror genre, imo. It captures the call of the void and sticks with you in a way no other horror piece has done for me. Granted, I don't consume much horror, but I do really love this one.

Massively enhanced by being one of the few Junji Ito stories to have an actual ending instead of just awkwardly falling apart.

Careful folks! This one can really linger in your head. It's a brilliantly executed work, but at the time I read it I kinda wished I'd not.
