Is there a way to block communities?

I have been using Memmy (TestFlight) since the beginning and love the app. Thanks for the recent updates it has been very stable, especially around image handling!

One thing I can’t seem to find anymore is a way to block communities. I swear it used to be there but I can’t find it anymore. Is this feature coming back or did something change on the Lemmy side?

It does not appear there is any longer. It used to be in the … menu when you visited a community.

Community block is now back in TestFlight version 1.0(55)!

It’s not directly in the 3 dots at the top right of the post in the main feed but if you click on the community you’ll have the block option within there.

On the community page, click the three dots in the top right

At least that’s how it works on the regular version

Nope, unfortunately that option is now gone from the TestFlight version.

I’m hoping they bring it back because it was incredibly useful and made the use of Lemmy much more manageable and enjoyable.

I assume it was just a miss when they overhauled the code. You can probably block it through the website on your account in the meantime.

Yeah, I reckon you’re correct and the option will be back eventually. I know you can block from the website but it was so convenient having it as an option right on the post.
