Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Vancouver Island, Canada. This little gaffer flew into our window and I found him on the ground. I carefully placed him into one of our hanging baskets (we have cats). It took at least an hour before it finally flew off.

I enjoy seeing these kinglets.
Kinglets are super cute bouncing around the bushes and have quite a loud song for their size. I was happy to be able to save this one and see it up close. Never would have been able to catch a close-up otherwise.
Sometimes I envy the people living in "bird regions" (The Americas, Africa, SE-Asia, Oceania). A rare sad EU moment.
