I have NZBgeek and Tabula Rasa setup with readarr, but it seems to struggle to find most books. Any recommendations for indexers that handles eBooks better?
Yeah, from my understanding the more indexers the better. If you want to just try some out, I know the usenet community on Reddit has a list of some of the free indexers. They typically have a daily limit but not a bad place to start if you're just getting into usenet. Also if you do a lot of downloading, you should check out the arr software. In my experience it works really well with usenet.
It’s not an answer to your question, but I’ve gone down a similar path before. In the end, I just do it the old way using some sites and you can use tabula rasa to keep things organized. I have the same approach for music.
Yeah I use a combo of NZBgeek, DrunkenSlug and Althub. Althub seems the best for books. Anything I can't find I go to Library Genesis
Althub seems to do ok for books and comics.
Thanks, I'll check them out!
As a Usenet newbie, how does one go about finding ebooks? (Epubs preferably)
I’m on newshosting. I haven’t come up with a single ebook I’ve looked for.
Are you just manually searching on newshosting or are you using indexers with readarr?
Manually searching in newshosting’s reader. I had no idea other indexers would pull up different results.

Try Anna’s Archive - https://annas-archive.org
Not part of Usenet, but has a huge database.
