I remember when imo randomly added stories to it's multi IM app and it seeming forced then. That was a decade ago.
In retrospect, they were faced with the legacy IM providers shutting down and the new providers shutting them out. But it still wasn't any good for the users.
Every app has stories nowadays ... It's just too much

I wish they added end to end encryption by default and used more tested algorithms. It's why I moved to Signal a while ago.
Same here. A modern messenger not having E2E by default is disqualifying IMO.
Telegram grew to success by being easy to use and multi platform.
They made the right choice by allowing E2E for those that want it.
How is it easier to use than Whatsapp or Signal?
Telegram added Polls for chats a while ago
I just want chat to be chat, I don't want it to be social media.
