It feels very much like some timeout, since it's always a little over 10 seconds. I'm uploading images that are at most a few hundred kB, so they're not particularly big in bytes or pixels.
I messaged the admin and tried to use redgifs but it's not loading the preview nicely like it would using RES, perhaps I need to link to the actual image, not the pretend one redgifs gives you from the share dialog.
You mean you've made a new account and you're posting there, or you're using federation and cross-posting? I know what kbin is, but I haven't checked it out properly.
No, I made a kbin account and was able to make a post on a magazine over there. I'm not able to log back into my account at the moment though, giving me a different error I don't know.

Worth the wait!
The image didn't upload... I'll try again
I just tried and failed to upload an image too, perhaps there's a problem (although the server feels snappy enough).
@[email protected] are there any limits on image uploads?
There is no limit. I will check if there is an error. Thank you for feedback.
Edit: Checked it, there is a 20mb per upload limit.

Just redeployed services. Can you check again?
Looks good, was able to upload an icon 👍
Looks like I have to redeploy every time it crashes 🫤
What's crashing? Part of Lemmy's code, or a third-party thingy?
Can you edit in the photo now that upload works again? Although now it's downvoted perhaps it's better to start a new post.
Eh, fug the downvotes
I uploaded the image
Getting this error
SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'R', "Requester"... is not valid JSON
yeah, it's giving a
HTTP 400 Bad Requesterror instead of a response. Hopefully the admins are on - bad timing to break just as it'll be getting busy!Yeah, I figured I'd get a head start and upload the thirty or so I have downloaded the stoneage way

I'm able to get my images to post over at kbin

Can you share me the image from another platform? Like imgbb or something.
