I always liked Sub-Zero, so I think I'd go with Shran. Gotta have some ice-themed Andorian attacks, right?

Also, Shran is a badass.

IIRC the only reason Sub-Zero was in MK1 was because the SNES cartridge had juuuust enough room for new moves, but not for a new character model; hence the pallette swap.
