kbin logging itself out all the time
I am always being logged out of kbin on desktop and mobile PWA.
On desktop, using firefox, if I stop using the site for 10-20 minutes, even if the active tab is open with it, I am logged out. Is this normal expected behavior or might I have some setting or addon which is creating this?
I have given kbin an exception to the rule of purging cookies between sessions in case somehow that was the issue. No change.
Never encountered this before.
Anyone else with same issue? Or no?
I'm still trying to reproduce the issue, but it persists on my end. I plan to check it on other devices soon.
Just in case it is of any value to you:
I was logged out while writing a comment (this one if it matters). When I tried to submit the comment the text entry box just stays there instead of converting to "static" (?) html text.
I reloaded in another tab and found I was logged out. So I logged in for that tab and tried to submit in the original tab, which had no different result. I copied my comment to clipboard, then refreshed the tab in which I was writing the comment, so now I am logged in. Then I can make my comment.
Anyway no response is required to this, hope you have a cup of tea. Great project. :)
Are you checking the "Remember Me" box when signing in? In my experience, if you don't, Kbin forgets that you're signed in very readily.
It does this for me too on mobile. I don't spend enough time on desktop to notice.
I haven't had this one happen to me before, staying logged in seems pretty consistent. I primarily use Kbin through Edge on PC and the PWA installed through Edge on Android and haven't been logged out of either before.
I also used the PWA installed through Firefox for a few weeks, but it would often fail to render anything when returning to the app and leave me at a black screen (Firefox problem, not Kbin). Even then though, when I'd quit and reopen it, I'd still stay logged in.
On my android I tried kbin site/PWA on different FF variants (release, nightly, flar etc) and some of them didn't work at all. If it doesn't work try a different one. I haven't taken good notes on exactly which ones cause the issues.
