I don't get it. Didn't they send pretty open death threats to local people? You'd think that would be straight to jail.
AFICT she was threatening to drop people into "crocodile infested waters" from a helicopter. Not only do they not have helicopter, but there are as well no crocodiles in Canada. I would think the RCMP would not take her cartoon villain death threats seriously.
I think there was also some threats of beheadings more recently

Ah, yes that would soften it. I should read the actual letter in question, rather than just going by the reported excerpts.
