The character is annoying as f, and the actor, well, the same. He then wrote about his depression and such and got a little bit of good will and then continued to tuin that again by just being insufferable. Then he sold out by making these seriously cringy hype videos about the godawful star trek Picard show where he behaved like a 5 year old on a sugar rush and now I just hate the guy. Can't stand him and this image is just perfect. Only think missing is a ball gag, perhaps

Yeah but the dude has depression, wrote a good article on it, so I give him some slack nowadays. That being said, his character was terrible.
