Oh, it is, many missing features, several come to mind: no way to mark anything as read, not even notifications, you can't open the profile of a commenter, no saving images...

But the UI is pretty, you can already save, vote, and reply to stuff, and development is active. But clearly there's good reason for the app to only be on github for now. It's my favorite so far in terms of UX.

I think it’s further along than some of the other alternatives.

It’s not perfect by any means, but the developer is cranking out updates like crazy, and it’s fun to see it get better with every alpha release.

For example, you used to not be able to swipe to dismiss an image, but now you can!

Having to wait for Blajah to update to 0.18.1 so Jerboa stops randomly crashing because I updated without thinking

Try Liftoff, it's pretty good! (Might not be as feature-complete yet though)

The difference is that Sync is a proprietary application. This means that it's hard to tell what the app actually does on your device, because nobody can access the source code. The other ones are Free and Open Source, which means anyone can audit them or make changes to them. So users can actually control what the app does. You should use those apps instead, especially if you value privacy and security.

Another one that I know of is Memmy.

Another vote for Connect. All these apps are brand new, so check them out.

At least for me Jerboa works as long as I use the github version

Yes! So much this. I've jumped ship and started using another app called liftoff. It's got bugs because it's just as new as all the other apps around right now but it works with the current version and I like it. Might not go back but it's nice to have options

So many things I rely on are broken in 0.18 tho. PWA and community search are like the 2 things I use the most

You reached the end
