There's a new one over here that's for Minecraft and Minetest. I'll start posting on it for the Minetest stuff.
I'm guessing the tankies are using Minecraft for fantasy political roleplay?
I have to admit I'm out of the loop on this (there's another sub that stand recreating!)... what the poop is a tankie? Google just shows me YT videos of people making tanks. ??
Tankies are people who supported the Soviet use of tanks to crush rebellions in Eastern Europe in the 1960s, and has expanded into a term describing people that support totalitarian communist states and their atrocities such as modern communist China.
That's a thing? And they bring that crap into Minecraft forums? why?
A bunch of Lemmy devs are tankies, unfortunately; and lemmy.ml is hosted by tankies — who also host lemmygrad.ml, whose name is reminiscent of leningrad / other similar soviet cities. I think the minecraft one there is just a server for themselves, but it's the biggest one available I could find lol mostly cuz there isn't any big ones yet.
