Connecting my self-hosted Lemmy instance to the fediverse

If this message makes it through someone please let me know by responding. I've been trying to connect my own personal Lemmy instance to the fediverse for a while now.

your post did make it to /c/[email protected] ... where i'm now deleting it for being offtopic. (but based on recent results i wouldn't be surprised if the deletion event doesn't federate back to you :/ please use /c/[email protected] for test posts in the future.)
