Oh nice! I read it when I was younger, but I’ve added this to my re-read list!

Reading the first book of the Lyonesse trilogy again. I’ve always had a soft spot for these books.
There’s a certain fairytale atmosphere to them that just feels very… cozy I guess.

Right now it's We Are Legion (We Are Bob). I'd avoided it for a long time based on the name, but it turns out that was unfair. It's been a great read.

Before that, Elder Race and Spiderlight by Adrian Tchaikovsky. If you haven't read any of his work yet, do yourself a favor. He's easily one of my favorite authors these days.

I haven’t read for pleasure in years. I read a lot but it’s all fire alarm panel user manuals

I really need to read more

The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie.

Always love how well everything is tied into his universe together whilst simultaneously telling a unique and independent story.

3

Ooh, that's a good one. One of the books used to introduce Banks to me, a while back.

3

Oh I remember that one, left a lasting impression on me. (Trying to be vague and avoid spoilers :)

Not at the moment, no.

Edit: Smartass mode off. Currently reading Death From The Skies by Phil Plait, and the occasional Ray Bradbury short story when I need a 'snack' before bed.

3

Haha. You must be on a lunch break! I’d love to score one likes yours.

4

Malazan book of the fallen, last time I tried it, he was still writing it...

2

I just finished the Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice. It was really good. Trying to figure out what to read next.

I've just started the wheel of time. The beginning is very "heroes journey" but I've been enjoying it so far

Assassins apprentice, the first in the Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb. About two thirds of the way through, it’s been a gripping read.
