How do you call in English
Imagine an XL table:

If "A" and "B" are called "headers" what do you call "X" and "Y"?

A and B are column headers
X and Y are row labels
A and B are column headers; X and Y are row headers.
"Row headers" seems wrong to me. Maybe "row labels"?
I may be wrong but I believe A and B are column headers while X and Y are row headers
Depends on the context. I work with databases, so A and B are column headers and X and Y are either row numbers, or identifiers.
I'd call A and B "column headers" and X and Y "row headers"
