I'm a massive ska punk nerd, and I approve of this post. RBF, Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, you name it. All are fucking awesome!

Too bad Streetlight Manifesto faced legal trouble and haven’t released an album in a decade :(

They've been teasing a new album for awhile now. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was announced later this year, although with their Trumpet player passing away this month they'll probably delay it both to grieve and probably add some memorial tracks.

So you're saying that kid's parents went ONE STEP BEYOND the normal number of mozzarella sticks? MADNESS!

Honestly hate how 3rd wave ska pop became synonymous with the ska genre as a whole. I can promise that most kids don't hear Leftöver Crack play when they get an extra cheese stick (but it would be pretty sick if they did)

Leftover Crack is a bit of an extreme outlier but RBF, No Doubt, etc. are still as close to real ska as bands like My Chemical Romance or Panic At The Disco are to real punk. Just 90s pop music with trumpets.

LoC are closer to RBF and MCR than they are to first wave ska, or even 2 tone.

Also the first MCR album bangs.
