So this might be self centered as hell, but I just finished watching Ted Lasso and it's really hard not to think that Richmond is supposed to be a stand in for us.
It almost destroyed the final episode for me because I started grappling with the idea that, for a sports movie, it actually is better if you don't win it all from a narrative point of view. But damn, does it hurt to be reminded of how we felt for those few weeks.
Maybe someday if I rewatch it after a different season, I'll be able to enjoy it as intended.
Seems that Reddit sync is not only shifting to creating a Lemmy app but this week is also making a splash page telling people to sign up for it which should help.
I'm excited for this app. Jerboa gets the job done but dev focus is understandably on Lemmy. Sync is such a slick app too, I wonder how finished it will look with them trying to get it out by this weekend.
My thinking is that it would probably look pretty finished since they have the infrastructure in place for the Reddit app and the layout isn’t terribly different for Lemmy/kbin, etc.
I had forgotten how slow the weekend feels during silly season.
Ikr, nervewracking as fuck

I just finished Ted Lasso last week, and when they revealed at the airport of what happened in the league all I could say was, "of course".
I understand it. I also hate it.
It's the last week of Reddit 3rd party apps. I'm hoping for some more users over here

I'm not fussed tbh, I like the small insular community we've got with the like, 10 ish familiar names
I am the only Arsenal supporter in my area so it's nice to have some regular people to talk that understand what I am talking about.
Yeah most of my friends simply aren't into football haha, this is chill tho
So is Timber done or is it just an agreement with the player?
I think Timber has just agreed to come to Arsenal but we're still negotiating a fee with Ajax.
