Terrible for the people involved. Luckily for the world, it seems too deadly to spread. Covid killed more because it didn't kill the carriers quickly.
Definitely far too deadly to spread far. For reference, Covids fatality rate is just over 1%.

Fruit bat chews on some fruit in a tree. Fruit picker handles fruit, before realising its no good. Tosses it, but has got some juice on their hands now. Rubs their eyes or nose or licks their fingers, or maybe has a cut on their hands?
Guano is also a potential infection source
