Yeah sorry, money is just so tight right now, we can't find it in the budget...

By the way, this is Todd, your 3rd project manager. Should really help with increasing productivity and aligning with our new buisness strategy.

Oh, and your coworker Amy just put in her two weeks, so we will have to backfill that position sometime when the budget clears up. You can take on her responsibilities temporarily though.

Oh, and I'll be in Ibiza for the next 3 weeks, talking to key internal stakeholders and top execs of our customers.

Haha. That's basically my current role. I was asked to help in an area while they find someone to fill the role. It has been ages, like months. And no fill. Just found out at a minimum, it'll be next year. So.. yeah. Even working really slow hasn't triggered them to find someone. Fuckers.

Believe me, I have done far less and they still won't budge. It's almost hilarious.

However they also won't fire you for poor performance, since then there will really be nobody to do anything lol

Sounds like a win-win to me

If you’re asking about the photo, I believe that’s a screenshot of Oprah and The Rock, who are a billionaire and a multi-millionaire, asking people to donate for the Maui fires.

Which isn't inherently wrong if they have donated themselves. They have a massive audience they can reach out to. I think people just like shitting on rich people. Which is fine they can take it.

if they have donated themselves

The full story, which has been thoroughly litigated elsewhere, suggests that they haven't actually been as generous as they want credit for being.

But also yes let's please continue shitting on rich people.

Definitely doesn't help that Oprah literally bought at least 90% of an entire Hawaiian island but can't seem to find a way to donate to Maui

Only how the economy is so rough that the capitalist class barely earned enough money in the budget to increase their wages by 20% this quarter from $37 million to $44 million

You reached the end
