Would anyone recomment an IP #camera that will work purely locally, with no cloud etc connections, available in EU (PL)? Most likely will be inside, though ones able to survive outdoors are appreciated as well. Ideally to be connected with #HomeAssistant and/or #Frigate (once I get around to setting that up 😅 ) #HomeAutomation

Amrest = Rebranded Dahua mostly, they're not much more money than Reolink too.
@viq @[email protected] @[email protected] I’ve been quite pleased with Reolink cameras, which can work entirely locally (although be sure to check the home assistant documentation for the list of cameras that work—many but not all models are usable with HA). Personally I have multiple E1 Zooms and WiFi Doorbell cams, all operating fully locally.

I'm using the Unify G3 Flex inside and outside of our summer house in Poland. It can be run local only if you don't connect it to their cloud. It has a nice HomeAssistant integration too.
Another vote for Reolink.
They can be completely local network, and integrate really well with home assistant.
@viq @[email protected] @[email protected] I use Foscam cameras. They have local streams and a local api for integration. I use them with BlueIris. I have about 11 cameras. You should be able to get them in EU.

@ikkeT @[email protected] @[email protected] I currently have an old android phone with "IP Webcam" installed, but I'm running out of old phones 😅 And figuring out how to put a proper computer in that space to be able to use a webcam (which I probably would also need to get...) sounds like a hassle 😅

You can program them yourself.
Just Not good in darkness.
Outside I used Lupus. German Product, works with or without Cloud.

I’m happy with Amcrest cameras (good video stream, accessible via web browser), my old Foscams also still work well. Just put them in a VLAN without Internet access to make sure they don’t phone home.

Take a look on anpviz onvif cameras.
Just grab some old webcam, use an RPI with MotionEye and you are good to go. Bonus? With an non-IR RPI camera you'll have "nightvision" and with MotionEye automatic gain control.
