Yes, yes, that's it! Pass the
savingsblame onto the "customers", per usual. It's totally gas stoves that're the real cause of our collective distress, not the untold millions of tons of untreated waste the same corpo fucks dump into the world, unchecked and unopposed. Yeah, that's the solution. ๐๐ผOm no, but there is abundant evidence gas stoves excaberate asthma and I don't know about you but I definitely have encountered the idea that gas stoves were better than cheap electric stoves for years and years, which is why I shared this article.
I'm not stating otherwise, I'm pointing out that this is strawman agitprop.
It is not, it is practical health advice about kitchen appliances....
Yes, yes, wield that downboat like a patriot, and gulp down the scripted bullshit as intended. Good citizen.
So, the only topics worthy of discussion are those you deem important enough. That's a statement, not a question.
Are you okay? You don't seem very stable
Thanks, sweetie. You good with nibbling on the crumbs they deem safe for you to have? Have fun with that.
I'm sure the state of the world would immediately be solved if gas ranges were banned worldwide, yep. This is such an important topic among the slew of corpo greed issues threatening to end civilization as we know it.
FFS, the way things are going, no one'll live long enough to contract the cancers they cause.
Be smart and go induction. Best stove I ever used
I just don't get it.
So you start with A your raw ingredients and if you prepare it so that A is now B the food ready to be cooked and than you end up with C your cooked food I don't understand how the process of A=B, B=C, A now magically = C??? Seems like pseudoscience to me. Where is the mechanism that turns A to C?????
I'm assuming this is supposed to be a joke about proof by induction but that's not how that works and I'm confused lol
I mean they did say they don't get it
Wasn't it just last week that they cause more asthma?
Nope
have people asthma been triggered by gas stove when its not producing any smoke, especially with the ventilation on?
I'm not clear either. I had never known there were any health issues at all until the last year or so.
Misleading title. Electric stoves don't do shit for asthma, but not having a gas stove does.
Guess what....poorer people don't have induction stoves, and they live in poor areas with high levels of air pollution.
No one does shitty epidemiology quite like US universities. One wonders how many appliance companies funded that "research".
Gas stoves suck for more than just asthma, but electric stove just suck, period. I hates them. I miss my gas stove at my last apartment, even if it otherwise was unhealthy. lol.
The thing I hate most about electric is the slow response. When making something like a roux, you REALLY want to turn down the heat and have the heat be down.
There's mitigations - pulling the pot/skillet off the burner - but gas just works so much better.
But...... I have electric again, and it's fine...... just...... sucks a little. heh.
yeah, we're designing our dream
homeRV. i'm planning a small electric range on the insides with a nice gas grill i can use outside. that way i can use either or both when i needBuddy had one where panels opened in the back and made a mini kitchen with a swing out grill. It was dope.
Hell yeah
Ooo, best of both worlds. Awesome!
I'd like to go 100% electric. The plan is to install another 5k ish kWh of solar and reinsulate.
If you can afford it, install the spray foam insulation that goes on the underside of the roof. We have a Habitat home/mortgage so it's built for energy efficiency. Haven't touched the AC since the hurricane two weeks ago. It takes hella heat to warm it up inside and I could almost go the winter without heat. Our power bill tops out at $180 in the summer.
