The life of a baby...
The first time I heard of this tragedy, I broke down crying. Because I know humans are capable of atrocities, but this is just...actually one of the worst things I've heard in a long time. Nothing, NOTHING justifies shooting a 1 year old baby ever.
::: spoiler TMI, extremely WTF, also sad
The second reason for the crying was my (soon to be ex) bf. He basically went:
"Yeah, this is a real tragedy...but the mother is also to blame, she shouldn't have raised the baby up like that. You don't put a baby between yourself and police officers."
And that honestly made me realize I was living with someone who lacked lots of something called empathy, which I value immensely. Because in my mind, the only person to blame here for this monstrosity is that officer and nobody else. It didn't occur to me for a damn second to blame the mother for this. Like WTF??
I was shocked to the core when he said that...but unfortunately, I was kind of expecting a response like that from him, because I know how he is. And this isn't a person I want to spend my life with.

Context?
why are the police not at least getting mandatory training on how not to shoot a shoplifter?
The body cam footage is sickening. The cops run out of the store with their guns already drawn.
they even go "yeaaaaaaa" at the start when they know they can kill someone
And he shoots that baby point blank, through a side window as the car slowly rolls by
I...have no more words 😢
They still call themselves Christians without a hint of shame. I wish I believed God was real, then I'd know they will pay for this in the afterlife.
Wow. So many radical, Marxist, leftist crazies! How do they live with themselves! /s
