Are the responsible parties not paying for damages? There was a clear protocol in place that they blatantly ignored.

The and is in a heavy solid wood cradle that allows the globe to be spun in any direction. The dimwits tried picking it up and carrying it and couldn't keep it up (probably office staff instead of military personnel, lol) so they dropped it instead. The globe crashed down into the twisty-pin thing at the bottom that helps it rotate and the globe broke.

I like how this is the least of the small big man's crimes, but it's still perfectly symbolic of his ineptitude and its consequences. He broke the globe. No, no, even better, he had his dumbass henchmen break the globe
