Even if Elon Musk wasn't tied to them the bigger problem is they haven't done anything lately. They just keep mucking around with dumb ideas that aren't practical.

Yeah the cyber truck was idiotic, as is their not at all practical flying carth idea, that if it ever does go into development will definitely kill someone.

Why don't they just make an electric SUV or something like every other car a company has done it's clearly what people want. Yeah ok great so the car can do zero to 60 in 1.2 seconds but realistically that's not much use to me, whereas really big cargo space is.

If only they had a flying car to save their stock prices ....

Don't get caught holding the bag as Elgone runs away.

Edit: The article makes it clear all the subsidies and financial trickery that Tesla has used in the past is coming to an end. It is clear they never planned this far into the future. This was always a pump and dump operation and that is why the government was investigating him for fraud. Trump allowed him to buy his way into the government to shut down the regulators coming after him.

You mean a company that doesn't that sells very fee cars compared to other car manufactures and is worth more then all of them. What how could that be.

That's why he keeps the shell game going by selling his companies to his other companies.

And things like having SpaceX buy hundreds of Cybertrucks, which then just go sit in a parking lot somewhere. But, hey, it helps pump up those Cybertruck sales numbers!
