Good idea awful execution.

Plus, this is going to result in stores wanting their stuff at the top, meaning it’ll either be gamed/SEOd or complained about.

I do like the product info showing what is made in Canada vs designed here, but if it’s designed in Canada I want to know where it’s physically from.

I'll give them some slack for the moment. Creating a marketplace from scratch takes work and this looks like it's still in Beta. Selection is a bit thin still as well. Otherwise I fully approve of the idea, and I can't think of a better place to do it than through Canada Post.

But yeah, I'm not going to lie, a way to exclude or at least de-prioritize American producers would not hurt MY feelings at all. I'll take Made in China over made in US even if its a Canadian product developer, and Made in Canada above all.

That's likely to happen in any marketplace unless there is ongoing and active measures taken to keep a lid on it.

Seeing as this is a Beta site, I imagine they're open to your feedback.

Makes sense in a lot of ways, shipping all these things will presumably be a revenue stream for Canada post

Yeah I thought that was smart of them, revenue stream like this = mores employed workers ideally. Which I'm all for.
