It's not a Doctor Who Dalek, it's a combat robot nicknamed "Dalek". There is a slight resemblance, but only very slight.

Nope, they're biological aliens inside what they call a "Travel Machine". They look like this though depictions have changed over the years.

Yah, I'm with hubert, you gotta check out the Baker era dalek episodes. If you're even a casual fan, there's so much from that era that is what formed the concept of what daleks are now

Then some reinforcement from Peter Davison and Resurrection of the Daleks, which might be the only time I ever saw the Doctor with a gun. Not sure he actually fired it.

Oh then if you can find it, The Space Museum where William Hartnell gets all up in one, cackling madly.

the very first Dalek episode (called, oddly enough, The Daleks) has a whole set of scenes dedicated to ripping the alien out of the inside. So it was pretty well established since the beginning.

Yeah but its sans alien because it was designed by a group on Earth-616 and is not in fact from the Dr Who Daleks.

You reached the end

TIL that Marvel's Punisher canonically owns a Dalek (sans alien) in the main comic continuity. | Spyke
