Ed Wood (filmmaker)
Marked by their campy aesthetics, technical errors, unsophisticated special effects, integration of poorly-matched stock footage, eccentric casts, idiosyncratic stories and non sequitur dialogue, Wood's films remained largely obscure until he was posthumously awarded a Golden Turkey Award for Worst Director of All Time in 1980, renewing public interest in his life and work. Some film critics, like Will Sloan, have argued against the Worst Director label, making the case that Wood was creative in working with the financial and cinematic limitations he faced.

Ah, an opportunity to bring up one of my favorite films! It's peak Tim Burton, and a sincere love letter to one of his inspirations. Stars Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bill Murray, and a ton more.
Go watch it! Go watch it now!!
