I retired last year and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Heck yeah! That’s awesome! You should be very proud 😊
What has been your favorite thing to do since retiring?
Thank you!
I've been studying music theory a bit, which I'm really enjoying.
What about you? What have you been doing for yourself?
Nice! Any particular music you are studying?
I’ve been mostly gardening and going for long walks. Both are things I really enjoy!
That sounds very nice. I hope the weather had been cooperating!
I mostly study classical music, and that's probably what I'm most familiar with (except popular music from the '80s). Maybe I'll venture into jazz or popular music sometime, but jazz intimidates me!
The weather has been ok, kind of hot though 🤷♀️
Oh yeah! Jazz can be intimidating lol Do you have a favorite classical composer? I used to play violin but I don’t remember all the pieces I played anymore.
I'm kind of an early music nerd (so, Baroque and earlier), but I'm also a walking stereotype so my favorite composer is Bach. :) But I like plenty of other random seeming stuff, I guess. What kind of stuff did you like playing on the violin? I've taken a small amount of violin lessons but it's so hard!
Bach is fun. I played a lot of basic classical stuff they teach in high school. My favorite was playing the Psycho theme song, that one was really fun to play!
Going well here! Still probably going to try for a new doctor because I’m unhappy with my current. I added this week’s resource because it is exactly what I will be using when going to a new doctor.
Otherwise, the heat broke, then it came back, so it’s been hot here! But at least we got some much needed rain :)
