ICE agents broke US citizen’s arm as they detained him in California, officials say
Federal immigration agents broke the arm of a US citizen in what a Democratic congressman said was a “brutal attack” during a confrontation with protesters in California.
Video of Saturday’s encounter in Long Beach shows Ricardo Gonzalez, identified as a former city employee, handcuffed and face down in a gutter, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers kneeling on his back.
Rex Richardson, Long Beach’s mayor, told CNN on Sunday that Gonzalez had called emergency responders for help at one point. In an online fundraiser for his medical expenses, Gonzalez’s daughter, Leslie, said he was knocked off his e-bike by an unmarked ICE vehicle.
“He was tased twice, pinned to the ground, and taken to the hospital for serious injuries,” Leslie’s fundraiser said. “What ICE did was not right.”

If democrats win this stops, right? Right?
It had fucking better stop, or we might end up with three political parties and another civil war. Just don't expect greaseballs like Schumer and Jeffries to lead the way. They might write a weakly-worded email memo, though.
You make it sound like more political parties would be a bad thing. It's crazy to me that in a country of 350 million people you can either be one thing or the other and that somehow neatly represents the two differing views you are allowed to have on society.
Don't count on it. There's a handful of Democrats (and Bernie, finally), a dozen at the absolute most, advocating to abolish ICE, and none of them are part of the party leadership.
The ones who ARE part of the leadership will try to regulate a little tighter around the edges and give them MORE money "for better training" before CONSIDERING anything that hasn't consistently failed for a century.
The people who have helped to expand, empower, and enrich ICE during every Democratic administration? Doubt it.
Even though DHS was created for horseshit reasons and was immediately used for racist purposes post-9/11 no one ever questions it. I mean the name said everything, and people like me said so at the time that "Department of Homeland Security" sounded deeply fascistic and dystopian on it's face. The TSA? Created as a stealth jobs program for Bush's failing economy, basically says "lol fuck the 4th amendment," is nothing but security theater and they do more stealing people's shit than they do stopping terrorism... but no one ever questions why it's still around. The thread of 9/11 is long past, but they won't let go of these levers of control, neither political party will, because it makes domination and control all too easy.

It definitely won't stop if we don't elect Dems. Quite the opposite, actually.
And NO OTHER PARTY IS VIABLE, OR EVEN CLOSE. NOR IS ANY OTHER PARTY EVEN TRYING TO BE VIABLE.
So....what we need to do between now and November 5 remains the same, regardless.
