Can anyone please recommend something similar?
I've been digging Listening to the Stars. When the Villainess Meets the Yandere has been good as well. Lily Love is kinda bad, but Lily Love 2 is actually fairly good.

Why married?
It implies a very long term commitment, legally enforced so it's not just words.

Personally we have have never liked the idea of marriage nor seen the need for it.
To us, marriage is a trap that two (or possibly more in some places) people have to stay in. We think it's much more beautiful to have nothing legally etc binding us with others and we (both or all) still choose to continue the relationship(s) every day.
I don't disagree honestly, but this is also set in China where such marriages aren't legal, so she mostly just wants them to be happily together
