The absolute gulf between how America sells itself and how it's governed.
I still want Americans to hate fascists, though. There's nothing to be gained by saying "no, you're on their side - see?"
I believe in the America they sold us. Its never actually existed, but that doesnt mean we cant build it. Id like to love the place i live.
That's exactly it. I was raised on that same stuff, and learning history and becoming politically aware has made me realise I'm basically a cryptid, the man from a place that never existed.
Never mind the inspiration hitler got from America.
