I was thinking the last thing I knew he was doing/in was "Our Flag Means Death" which was fun, but looking at his imdb page it appears hes spread all over. Apparently making a Charlie and the chocolate factory movie right now. Also what we do in the shadows was fun.
I had to look up what that was, not sure I've seen it yet. I have a tendency to steer away from Marvel movies until I eventually get roped into them by someone. That wasn't the one where they made Thor fat or whatever was it?
Love and Thunder was Taika taking the MCU as seriously as most of its haters. He did his job just well enough to piss everyone off, and added in screaming goats as a significant part of the film "just so the next guy would have to figure something out with them." And it sounds funny because it absolutely has potential, but he beats the joke to death in the movie.
And that's not even mentioning all the gags that ruined an actually stellar appearance by Christian Bale and had a phenomenal villain wasted in that film.
That was Endgame with fat Thor. He's normal buff Thor in Love & Thunder. It was okay, but I definitely felt like the movie should have been much more emotional and dark. It had the Taika/MCU humor throughout.

Yeah I was thinking the movie being on ice was the silver lining

One of the worst things about the MCU is absolutely ruining villains that have so much potential to be interesting. Even in the good movies.

I don't think he should be getting more movies.
