Flour tortillas
From King Arthur's recipe. Hot water and high hydration result in a very soft, extensible dough; lots of flour on the rolling pin and counter are essential.

These look great! You should get yourself a tortilla press
Saves your counter and elbow grease, plus you can dial in the thinness a bit easier. Some wax paper also helps reduce the amount of dusting flour
I have and use a tortilla press for corn tortillas, but have never tried it with wheat flour. Could be fun to try, or a good way to let kids get involved since rolling pins are a little tricky.
These are so soft & resilient it's only about 3 passes to roll each one out and they rarely tear, it goes faster than I can cook them even when I'm making eggs & greens at the same time.
+1 to getting kids to work the press. This is how we did it in my family :-D
I’ve made that exact recipe quite a few times now. Quick, easy and fantastically delicious!
flat bread is massively tastier when its fresh. Its true of all bread and bakery but to me the difference fresh and later with flatbread is a much wider gap.
I've been thinking about trying this out for a few weeks! Guess this is my sign.
They're fun!
Don't be concerned by how wet & sticky the dough is after you mix it up, a very light coating of oil (I just drizzle some on the counter and spread it around) helps handling while cutting it into pieces, and a short rest helps the dough get smooth & elastic.
Thank you!
