It’s a shame i can’t get myself appointed benevolent dictator for life over college football. There’s a looooooooooot of shit I’d do differently.

Sigh. I remember when I used to get excited for bowl games. Sure, you didn't put together a championship season, but you fought hard, won 9 or ten games and went to a solid bowl game. This will basically turn them into the NIT. Not even a consolation prize.

Yet somehow, despite all of my grumbling, this is still better than the BCS.

I'd prefer BCS if it had more games. The "eye test" bullshit used to justify putting in every sec team is far worse.

I used to enjoy bowl season, but it's feeling like that will just become irrelevant soon. Like, just too drawn out to care about. I think pretty soon I'll only care about the competition within the conference. The conference championship games will be fun to follow, I'll hope my team gets to the conference championship game, and everything else will just be this noisy, postseason theater that doesn't really matter.

Laaaaaaaame

That being said, the title games don't make as much sense with mega conferences. You could have, like, 3 teams undefeated (or like 8-1) in conference play and so what happens to the 3rd team? I say shrink the conferences back to 8 to 10 teams each
