J.K. Rowling’s Fame and “Bitter Online Exchanges” Will Be Focus of New BBC Documentary

Notably, the last several years of Rowling’s public life have cemented her as one of the most famous opponents to trans rights in the world, with trans-exclusionary radical feminists, better known as TERFs, claiming the once-beloved author as a celebrity champion. In June 2020, after months of speculation from trans people online that Rowling was becoming radicalized by anti-trans sentiment online, she published her now-infamous essay “TERF Wars,” in which repeated several transphobic dog whistles, including the baseless claim that transition is a “social contagion” and that there is an “explosion” of young girls transitioning.

I feel like this documentary will paint her as a victim of mean trans people online rather than highlight how she is causing immense harm to us.

I don't think there's any way to white wash her reputation now, she's reviled by most people and the only thing keeping her going is selfish Harry Potter adults. It's super easy to not fund trans genocide.

BBC is very anti-trans, and she is the queen of transphobia.

It’s wild that they gave someone as amazing as Chris Morris a platform and then turn around and make a pity party documentary about that wretched puke stain
