Getting ready for summer by investing in some blockout curtains. Taking down the semi-sheer dark coloured bullshit roller blinds. Gonna start with adhesive rod hooks but I see renters are allowed to drill mounts these days. I think I'd only need 1 extra hole and could do the sheer/blockout combo. Couldn't give a flying fuck about body corporate insisting on dark curtains, they'll never know. Love a project!
Edit: Well, after exploring many options I don't think this will be possible unless I go to the trouble of reskinning the roller blinds. Bugger.
I want something I can open and close or stick up and take down. I did get some of the plastic blockout sheets but they don't make em big enough for my window, so I had to carve them up and it looks like arse. I'll figure something out!
can just put up sheer curtains instead. Store the rollers nicely and put them back when you leave. We had the ol' aluminium venetians for our last house stuffed in a cupboard for 12 years :P

One woman got the caramel Craftmens. They look good in photos, even the quick ones I took on my phone, but are an off looking yellowy brown in person. I'm sure once they have some wear on them they'll look great though.

Buy some of the blackout window film. It helps loads. Peels off easy too when renting.
