GDT: Ducks @ Jets (October 9, 7:00 PM CDT)
The Winnipeg Jets are riding a 3-game streak of 3-2 victories as they face the Anaheim Ducks, who are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The Jets have the edge in depth and goaltending, but we'll see if the they can continue to play with a structure that limits high-danger chances against and generates them offensively.

Looks like they’re running Fleury-Bauer as third D pair at skate this morning. Don’t love it but probably need to test it and the Ducks bottom two lines isn’t the worst to see how it goes.
Might get to see Mud in net tonight, see if he can provide a follow-up performance.
No JMo at skate, but Salo’s out of the non-contact jersey!
Looks like morning line rushes were:
Connor-Scheifele-Perfetti
Barron-Björck-Vilardi
Rosén-Lowry-Iafallo
Koepke-Namestnikov-Lambert
Samberg-DeMelo
Ferraro-Pionk
Fleury-Bauer
Honestly, don't mind the mix-up on in the forward groups; I think Barron could be a real asset on the second line and help bring more physicality that can help protect Björck. I like this third line; Iafallo can compliment Lowry well in playing a hard shutdown focused game, but both he and Rosén have softer hands that I think will help give a better chance for some offensive capability. Biggest issue is if Rosén can play the shutdown game...not sure he can. Fourth line I like, TBH.
Defense...could be rough. We'll see how Ferraro does -- I think he might be able to step up and fill Samberg-esque shoes, but it really shows that we need Salo back into the mix as soon as we can. I assume we're just giving Fleury a shot because I thought St. Ivany actually played quite well in his showings so far this year.
YTD depth & goaltending tilting towards Winnipeg for this game.
