I think that I first noticed them the year before this EP. The songs De-luxe and Sweetness and Light. It would have been on a radio show I listened to that specialised in UK “indie”. I do also remember being knocked out by the video for Nothing Natural on a late night music video show.

I’ve just realised that if my dad recommended an equivalent record to me in 1991, it would have been something like Sammy Davis Jr. WTF.

sammy davis jr is a rough trade for lush. and catching that nothing natural video on some late night show was half the fun back then, you had to stay up for it
