Fun fact
A moment is an actual measurement of time. Lasting for 90 seconds. Next time you read something using moments to denote something happening soon after. Think about how much funnier it would be for it to happen several minutes later instead.

although they didn't really have seconds back then, so they would have said it was 1/40th of an hour, and it also apparently changed length depending on location/time of year (because they were defining hours relative to the times of sunrise and sunset)
Another fun fact: Every 90 seconds the same time pass in Africa
A jiffy is also an actual measurement of time, specifically 3×10^{-24} seconds :)
