Thank you
When I joined Lemmy and found this community there was absolutely nothing happening here. I started posting almost everyday. For a long time it felt like I was literally the only person here.
And now I'm seeing posts here on the regular. Sometimes five a day. I keep unsubscribing from communities because they get created and nothing happens. This group has a life now. It didn't die on the vine.
And thank you for keeping things civil. Food is divisive. Yet I get very few moderator complaints here. Which is nice. Keep it up. Post your food. This is a cooking group. Not a photography group. Not an exotic cuisine group. It's a place to post your cooking. Keep posting.

My girlfriend and I casually scroll lemmy as one of our only sources of social media, and I'm always commenting that you seem like quite a good cook and appreciating the price per person. I might have to share some pictures of food I make as well on here sometime. Thank you for always sharing your pics, you keep lemmy alive.
Keep sharing, even if it's just with her. Start sharing your own food here when you are ready.
You folks take really good food pictures too! It all looks delicious
Wait until you get a load of 2027!!
😁🥳
I'm anticipating a lot of beans and rice.
Next time I make beans using leftover ramen broth I might post about it
I don't know how one gets leftover ramen broth but using it for beans sounds tasty. Maybe I should add some MSG to my beans.
I sometimes get takeout ramen and end up with quite a bit of broth when I'm done eating everything in it.
Using it to make beans it's obviously something I do when I know I'll be the only one eating them, otherwise it'd be icky.
Word of advice, I found the broth is quite salty so you might want to be careful with how much you use and avoid adding extra salt in other ways. The good thing is that a good broth contains everything you need to make those beans tasty. Well, excluding onions, of course.
keep it up! we can only have a big-tech alternative if people actually participate!
Thank you for posting so much and keeping it up! It's such a nice corner of Lemmy :)
Like a good sourdough, you nurture it enough and it'll start producing beyond expectations.
Thank you for getting this going and thanks for everyone who posts their creations and thoughts! My favorite community, always a place for inspiration and happiness.
wholesome mod
Thank you for starting it. It's easier to join than start.
I didn't start it. It was here when I got here. After posting for a bit I was asked if I wanted to be a mod.
I have started a few and that part is pretty easy. The hard part is supplying content getting people to see it when it's at "1" and there are no subscribers so The only people that find it are people that browse by new or get to the end of the world.
Posting daily is a way to start it. Initial content is the hardest
I haven't yet posted or commented in this community, but I am impressed by your stamina and consistency. And I enjoy seeing your posts :) Thank you.
My stamina is caused by hunger and poverty.
Thank you.
Thank you for carrying this community on your back for so long! You really built it into what it is today :)
I was just posting what I was doing. It's everyone else that built it.
