A great mother. Can you imagine carrying around a few dozen babies until they are big enough to take care of themselves? This Rabida Rabidosa has lost a leg and a pedipalp.

why does this spider look like a nug of weed? is this the arachnid kush strain I keep hearing about?
oh damn, thems are baby weed spiders on its butt!!
What do the offspring eat?
eventually their mother and some of their siblings too?
Wolf spiders aren't known for matriphagy so mum should be save. Cannibalism between siblings can occur when food is spares but also not the norm.
thanks for the correction
While they are getting a ride on their mum, nothing. But she will gradually drop them off, dispersing them. After they are on their own they will eat basically anything they are able to take down. Starting with very small insects.
