Updating Our Boosters in 2027
Starting with Nauctis next year:
- 1/1000 regular boosters will be a "God Pack" (all rares/mythics)
- 1/300 Collector boosters will be a God Pack
- Japan Showcase cards can now be found in regular packs
- Increased odds for foil Rares/Mythics
- Play booster packs are renamed to just booster packs
- No more foil commons or uncommons in regular boosters
- No longer a guaranteed foil in every pack
- Collector boosters removing 2 commons and 1 uncommon from the foil slots

Seeing an announcement about boosters gives me a knee jerk reaction of "what now?" but overall I think these changes are pretty minor and slightly positive. But also I really don't care for foil commons/uncommons so losing them for Japan Showcase arts and increased chances of a rare/mythic sounds good to me. Don't care about collector boosters either so them losing 3 cards doesn't really matter to me
@MysticKetchup I think the god packs are fine. I'm not a fan of Japan showcase art, and I'll miss having foil commons and uncommons. I also don't open collector boosters. For me, overall meh slightly negative. And I don't trust them not to raise the price because of it
Can we get this decreased instead?
How about a pack that guarantees zero foils?
I don't really ever buy boosters anymore, so I don't really have strong feelings about this. Can't say I'll miss foil commons.
I guess when I recieve boosters as a gift it will be fun to hope for a god pack.
Foils come across as tacky/cheap looking, so this is a good development. Still: buy singles.
